Three Earth ‘clones’
THREE Earth-sized planets in another solar system are potentially habitable and probably have substantial amounts of water, say astronomers.
The Hubble Space Telescope discovery increases the chances of life on planets orbiting Trappist-1, a dwarf star 40 light years from the sun. Dr Amaury Triaud, of the University of Birmingham, said the planets could “remain habitable for billions of years, like Earth has”.
