BRUNT WANTS SECOND BEST

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

CHRIS BRUNT claims Northern Ireland are not feeling any pressure as they fight to claim a World Cup play-off place.

Michael O’Neill’s Irish side are second in Group C going into tonight’s qualifier against minnows San Marino and Brunt says their campaign is going to plan.

“I don’t think it’s really pressure,” said the West Brom midfielder. “The way the group is, it’s not really any different to what we expected. Germany are clear at the top and second place is up for grabs.

“It’s pretty much what we expected and we did a job against Norway and Azerbaijan to put ourselves in a good position. We just have to make sure we do our jobs against San Marino.”
