Teen gets 14 years for knife attacks in park water fight

- BY EMILY PENNINK

A MASKED teenager who carried out two “sickening” knife attacks on young men during a mass water fight at Hyde Park has been locked up for 14 years.

Violence broke out on a baking day last summer, when thousands gathered at the Serpentine.

Along with friends, a masked Joshua Clements attacked disabled student Audean Thompson, 20. The victim was stabbed in the leg and chest with a 9in hunting knife to shouts of “dib him, dib him”. The other victim, male model Duane Williams, was stabbed in the stomach, leaving part of his bowel lining showing. Mr Thompson wrote in his victim’s statement: “The attack was on social media and I worry people will recognise me. I have not been on a bus since.” Clements, 19, of East Acton, pleaded guilty before his Old Bailey sentencing yesterday.
