Dead boy, 5: airgun clue

A BOY of five may have died from being shot in the head with an airgun.

He was taken to hospital on Sunday morning but died on Wednesday night.

His death, in Loughborough, Leics, was being treated as unexplained but Leicestershire Police said yesterday the fatal injury is “believed to have been sustained by an air pellet”.

They were awaiting a postmortem examination but wish to speak to people in the Nanpantan Road area in the afternoon and evening of Saturday.
