SUMMER’SGONE

-

I know it’s September but sitting in my bombsite of an office trying to get to grips with this page, my mind wandered off to my Top 5 memories of our holiday in Greece:

1

The shock of withdrawing money from a cashpoint. ONE Euro = ONE Pound! 2

Two small cappuccinos costing EIGHT euros/pounds. 3

Eating tzatziki, olives, grilled halloumi and pitta bread with a glass of Assyrtiko wine, served up by a waiter called STAVROS. 4

Reading Rachel Clarke’s Your Life in My Hands, a moving portrayal of how frustrating, exhausting and heartbreaking life as a junior doctor can be under Jeremy Hunt’s mission to destroy the NHS. 5 Gazing over the glinting blue sea off the coast of Santorini and spotting Alan Sugar sailing by aboard his yacht, Lady A.
