Spear stuck in resort seal

A SEAL which plays in a popular resort’s harbour has been spotted with a 2ft harpoon spear in its back.

It is feared a rogue hunter may have hit the female, known as Sammy.

The attack angered residents of Brixham, Devon, who could not get close to remove the spear as “she keeps diving”, a local said.

Another wrote: “The diver should come forward. He knows he’s missing a harpoon if the gun fired [accidentally].”
