BBC2, 6pm If you’re compiling a list of brainy celebrities, Richard Osman would be right near the top. He might not quite be Stephen Fry, but he’s pretty darn close. So the Pointless boffin is the perfect host for this new quiz show which pits celebrities against each other in a series of general knowledge challenges.
Each week, four famous faces will battle it out in a series of entertaining trivia-based games to earn points and be named that day’s champ (and take their pick from a selection of cheesy House of Games-branded prizes), with all the points being added up to crown the weekly winner. It’s kind of like Celebrity Mastermind, but a lot less tense and loads more fun.
This week’s contestants are Anneka Rice, Clara Amfo, Nish Kumar and Al Murray.
With all the pub quizzes the landlord must have hosted, surely he’s a shoo-in for the title?
