Galway end 29-year wait

GALWAY became All-Ireland hurling champions for the first time since 1988 with a 0-26 to 2-17 win over Waterford.

Kevin Moran and Kieran Bennett netted for Waterford at Croke Park but Galway went three points clear and held on to win.
