Wenger: I nearly quit

ARSENE WENGER has admitted he considered quitting Arsenal this summer – but insists the Gunners can still win the title this season.

They have suffered a poor start to the campaign after he signed a new two-year deal in May.

Wenger (above) told French TV: “I hesitated about signing a new contract for personal reasons. Can Arsenal win the league this season? It’s possible.”
