JURGEN CAN MAKE ALEX OX-CELLENT
JORDAN HENDERSON insists Jurgen Klopp will “develop” Alex OxladeChamberlain and get the best out of him as a player. Oxlade-Chamberlain (right) quit Arsenal to join Liverpool in a £40million deal, after wanting a switch to realise his full potential for England. It was not a popular move among Gunners fans, but Henderson insists his new clubmate will get better under Reds boss Klopp, after six years playing for Arsene Wenger. The Liverpool captain said: “You’d have seen him (Klopp) on the sidelines, he’s very passionate. What you see is a fantastic manager and I think he will help Alex a lot.
“He will help him develop as a player and, hopefully, you will see even more good things from him.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been playing wingback for Arsenal, wide for England, but is keen to play in midfield at Anfield.
Henderson added: “I think he can adapt to each position. He gives you something different on the wing and is very direct and powerful in the midfield.
“I’m delighted he’s signed for Liverpool.”
