JON HAPPY TO BAG BROM STAY

JONNY EVANS is looking forward to returning to West Brom after the collapse of his deadline-day move to Manchester City.

The Baggies’ 29-year-old centre-half (left) was keen on a switch to the Etihad, but said: “I’m looking forward to getting back to the club (after the international break with Northern Ireland).

“I am the captain of West Brom and, when I return, will have a chat with the chairman and manager.”
