WASPS BUZZING OVER DALY
BRITISH LIONS hero Elliot Daly has committed his future to Wasps by signing a deal that will keep him at the club until the 2019 World Cup.
The 24-year-old back has been at Wasps since 2010, but his current contract ends this season and he was being targeted by other Premiership clubs. Wasps are pleased to have got their man, who has played 157 times for the club and in all three Tests for the Lions against the All Blacks.
Boss Dai Young said: “We’re not daft, we know a player of his class would top a number of clubs’ lists when January came round, but Elliot believes in the potential of our squad.
“He’s a leader in the group and the best is yet to come.”
