UEFA REJECT PLEA TO PROBE CITY’S DEALS
UEFA have rejected a demand from La Liga that they investigate Manchester City over a potential breach of Financial Fair Play rules.
UEFA have received a letter signed by La Liga president Javier Tebas, calling for its investigation into Paris Saint-Germain’s summer spending to be widened to include City.
City bought Bernardo Silva, Ederson (above), Danilo, Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy for a combined outlay of £217million. But their net spend was around £133m as they made an estimated £93m from player sales.
A UEFA spokesperson said: “There’s no investigation into Manchester City with regards to FFP regulations.”
