FLOP JANSSEN’S OUT IN THE COLD

VINCENT JANSSEN has been axed from Tottenham’s Champions League squad. Boss Mauricio Pochettino chose not to register Janssen, 23, following Fernando Llorente’s arrival. Spurs were ready to offload Janssen (above) to Brighton last week after the £17million striker’s wretched debut season in which he scored just two league goals.

But Janssen turned down the move to the Seagulls and was the fall guy when Pochettino had to trim his squad to comply with UEFA rules.

Spurs were also open to sell Georges KevinNkoudou and Moussa Sissoko – yet both have been registered for a tilt at the European Cup.
