JAMES Bond will get married in the upcoming 007 film, sources claim.

In the new adventure, the 25th in the franchise, Bond quits the secret service and is happily hitched to Dr Madeleine Swann, who he rescued at the end of the last film, Spectre.

But Madeleine, played by Lea Seydoux in the 2015 hit, is killed – so Bond goes back to work to get his revenge on those responsible.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Bond quits the secret service, and he’s in love and gets married.” Referring to the 2008 kidnap thriller Taken, starring Liam Neeson, the source said the new Bond caper will be “like Taken with Bond”.

It would be the first time that Bond has been married on screen since 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Then, the spy tied the knot with Tracy Draco (played by Diana Rigg) – only for his wife to be murdered by villain Blofeld (Telly Savalas).

Daniel Craig, 49, will return to the role of Bond for the last time in the new film, due out in 2019.

He said: “I think this is it. This is it. I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
