Wayne’s facing a marital red card

-

I feel sorry for the Rooneys whose marriage is in crisis after Wayne was caught in a car with another woman while Coleen was on holiday with the kids. I agree with your agony aunt Coleen Nolan, who says Coleen must allow things to settle before she makes any major decisions (Mirror, September 4).

Right now emotions are running high and I can understand Coleen’s anger, but so many couples have experienced similar problems and have come through them.

And, of course, there are the kids to think about. It’s a difficult situation but I wish them both well. Eileen Burgess Stockport, Gtr Manchester Oh dear, Wayne Rooney has done it again – gone out, got drunk and ended up in a clinch with another woman. What are the odds his wife will forgive him once again? A friend said that his naivety was to blame for the incident, but I do not think it was sheer stupidity – he knew what he was doing. Wayne is looked up to my youngsters, so what example is he setting? I hope he gets the book thrown at him and is given what he deserves. Barbara Lavelle Wirral, Merseyside Wayne Rooney has served his club and country well with an almost spotless track record. Now he is in a very hard place. Knowing his career is ending he has to come to terms with what the rest of his life means and where his family fits in. It is hard enough for anyone, but he could do without being hounded and criticised for minor misdemeanours – let he with no sin cast the first stone.

Leave Wayne alone! Patrick McHale Hassocks, West Sussex The news that Wayne Rooney has apparently “kissed and cuddled” another woman comes as no surprise as our overpaid footballers seem to behave how they like. The question is whether Coleen will forgive him, yet again. If I was her, I would be asking myself if I wanted a man like him as a role model for my young sons. Valerie Light, South East London Once again football star Wayne Rooney has been caught in a compromising situation with another woman behind his wife’s back.

The problem is, Wayne is one of those untouchable millionaire footballers who think they can get away with it. Ashley J Smith, March, Cambs I don’t know why Coleen is bleating about her husband and the state of her marriage – she knew what she was taking on before she walked down the aisle. She had the choice then to bin him, or stay with him and to spend the rest of her life either preparing to go on holiday or being on holiday. She made her bed, so to speak. Perhaps she should start getting ready for another muchneeded break. Pam Crouzieres Basingstoke, Hants Kick him out, Coleen, I say. You will get a darn good divorce settlement. OK, the children will suffer, they always do, but it’s better than being in a bad marriage. Janet Davies Falmouth, Cornwall
