EMRE READY TO CAN REDS DEAL

EMRE CAN’S contract talks with Liverpool have hit an impasse over his demands for an escape clause.

Can is in the final season of the four-year deal he signed when he joined from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 and negotiations remain deadlocked.

Talks have ground to a halt over his insistence on a get-out clause. The Germany midfielder (above) has seen how Liverpool rebuffed Barcelona’s attempts to buy Philippe Coutinho and the Brazilian does not have an escape clause in his contract.
