A NEW George Michael single will get its first play today and is already tipped to hit No1.

Fans can hear it on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Radio 2 at 8.10am. It is thought to be a remix of the track Fantasy from his acclaimed 1987 album Faith.

Producer Nile Rodgers, who had been working with the star shortly before he died, said it had been a “long heartfelt, tear-filled journey”. He added: “I hope we’ll make the fans proud.”

The Wham! legend’s sisters have told how they are still “struggling” to cope with the loss of their brother, who was just 53 when he died from heart disease and a build-up of fat in his liver, which can be linked to drug and alcohol abuse, on Christmas Day 2016.

Melanie and Yioda posted a touching message to the brother they affectionately call Yog on the late star’s website.

They said: “Our family, and good friends, are all still struggling with the reality that our beautiful Yog is no longer here with us, although we still feel his love.”

George, whose body was found at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, by former partner Fadi Fawaz, had seven No1 hits in his solo career.
