Beeb chief’s pay gap vow

THE BBC director-general has pledged to close the Beeb’s gender pay gap.

Tony Hall promised a pay “audit” two days after an “extraordinarily frank” meeting with female stars including Fiona Bruce.

The BBC Women group called for “solutions” to be in place before 2017 ended.
