Big up to Little Mix

The Strictly team asked me who my favourite music artist was and they were fairly taken aback by my answer.

I don’t know what they expected a 42-year-old lesbian to suggest – perhaps KD Lang or Melissa Etheridge.

My answer was Little Mix. I love Little Mix. I find myself dancing round the kitchen screaming Shout Out To My Ex at the top of my voice, much to my neighbours’ distress.

But then I have form. I joined the Spice Girls fan club when I was 21. Still have the membership card in my wallet.

Girl Power still matters when you’re over 40.
