DOCUMENTARY
ITV, 9pm
YOU might remember the first series of this crime drama in 2015, which starred Christopher Eccleston as a former policeman running a safe house in the Lake District.
WORRIED Stephen Moyer
C4, 9pm You can almost hear the righteous indignation from more conservative viewers as we meet the Student Development Team – those staff members whose job isn’t to be in the classroom teaching the kids, but to help support them with other needs.
Like getting those kids with poor attendance to school every day, even if it means Miss Kay driving round to pick them up in the morning.
Or helping 15-year-old Mia, who is seven months’ pregnant and struggling to attend before her GCSEs.
Or Year 11 Kodie, who is just months from her exams but threatening to leave.
It’s often these staff – who have the time to get to know these pupils and find out about their difficulties – who can really make a difference.
It’d be so easy to write them off as nightmare kids, teenage girls just full of hormones and angst and drama. But there’s clearly so much more going on. SUPPORT Salford’s Harrop Fold School
