WHEELY CLEVER IDEA

Meet Sayer, the steering wheel of the future – according to Jaguar Land Rover, that is. Named after the legendary Jaguar aerodynamicist and designer Malcolm Sayer, it is the key part of a futuristic concept of car sharing in which the steering wheel is the only part of the vehicle you actually own.

Sayer stores an enormous amount of personal information and, thanks to its artificial intelligence, will be able to carry out a huge range of tasks, such as telling you when an autonomous car needs to arrive at your door for your intended journey.

However, it’s a bit of science fiction that I’m unlikely to live long enough to see in action.
