UK is braced for first gales
BRITAIN is braced for its first gales of autumn this weekend.
Forecasters say low pressure moving in from the Atlantic will bring rain and high winds for the north and west, with Sunday getting the worst of the stormy weather.
The south and east should escape, but temperatures will struggle to top 17C.
Experts also expect some pleasantly warm days later next week, after chilly nights.
The Met Office said the first major autumn storm will be named Aileen, followed by Brian, Caroline and Dylan.
Weekend gales will not be so severe to warrant a name.
