McD’s workers get burger all

I haven’t been in McDonald’s for decades, but I promise to go in right now and eat a Deluxe Veggie Burger if they start properly paying – and respecting – their workers.

Staff walked out of the fast food restaurant for the very first time this week amid stories of being forced to sofa surf and scalding themselves while earning as little as £4.75 an hour.

Steve Easterbrook, the British head of the company, earns 1,300 times more than the lowest-paid workers.

Until Maccy D’s young workers are properly paid, surely none of its customers can really enjoy a Happy Meal?
