She plays a determined political fixer in Washington DC on a mission to bring in tougher gun controls. As a strong-minded, independent woman who uses men for sex, she represents everything Donald Trump despises. But the film was released just as he was elected president, and gunning against the political tide saw Miss Sloane shot down at the box office. The film’s full of media manipulation, bribery and blackmail.
