Silva is still seeing red over Britos

- BY MIKE WALTERS

MIGUEL BRITOS has been reprieved after his shocking red-card tackle – but Watford boss Marco Silva has still not forgiven him.

Britos was sent off for the fourth time in 59 Hornets appearances for an appalling challenge on Brighton’s Anthony Knockaert last month.

And, although the Uruguayan defender has been included in Watford’s 25-man Premier League squad, Silva has offered no assurances about a quick return to the starting side.

Silva said: “It’s impossible to be happy with that sending-off. I’ve spoken to him about it, but in that moment you don’t need to talk too much because he knows what is in my mind.

“He’s very upset about it and my opinion is clear.

“I will decide if we continue with him after his suspension for three games. But everything we do with our players, in terms of disciplinary measures, will stay inside the club.”

Silva has also said Isaac Success will not go on loan to Turkish club Bursaspor.

The Portuguese boss was previously unimpressed with Watford’s decision to let winger Nordin Amrabat join Spanish club Leganes for the rest of the season.
