Sew happy to win £1m lotto

A PENSIONER who won £1million after checking old lottery tickets plans to buy a sewing machine.

Mum-of-two Violet Grahamslaw, 63, became a keen knitter and seamstress after retiring as a care worker in 2014.

Violet and husband John, 68, from Berwick, Northumberland, will also instal a new kitchen and go on holiday.

She said: “It still hasn’t properly sunk in yet and I can’t believe that this has happened to me.”
