Hedgehog is saved by glue
ANIMAL rescuers saved a baby hedgehog by glueing it back together after it was torn apart by a dog.
The 3in hoglet – the size of a kiwi fruit – was close to death, left with a flap of skin the length of its body.
Gill Lucraft, of Hedgehog Bottom rescue centre in Thatcham, Berks, stuck it back together with special medical glue.
A vet then closed the wound with 13 stitches.
Gill said: “I thought he had no chance, but gave it a go. And so far so good.”
