When surfing novice Helena Bonham Carter swapped the boards for the board she chose the nippy shores of Cornwall - and a long and icy dip for her instructor. From period dramas to big-budget thrillers the red-carpet English rose has taken on some challenging roles on screen, but finding her feet in the rolling Cornish waves was proving a little trickier. The Harry Potter actress chose parky Polzeath instead of somewhere more tropical and her plucky instructor was happy to turn blue to keep one of our favourite actresses safe.
