‘Food poison’ mum ran sex scandal bar

PROBE Laura Joyce THE expat mum arrested over an alleged food poisoning claims scam ran the Magaluf bar where a teenager was filmed performing 24 sex acts for a drink.

Laura Joyce, 38, got a £50,000 fine and a one-year closure order for Playhouse, in the Majorca resort.

Judicial sources yesterday said an appeal was still unresolved.

Playhouse was identified in 2014 footage in which a girl aged 18 was reportedly duped into performing the sex acts to win a holiday, the name of a cocktail.

A source said: “[Joyce] wasn’t at the bar the night it happened and didn’t organise the bar crawl.” Joyce shut the bar, still closed.

Before her arrest in the holiday claims probe, pregnant Brit Joyce told a local paper she was innocent.
