RYAN: I’M ON HOME RUN NOW

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

RYAN SHAWCROSS says he hopes to end his career with Stoke.

The skipper, who is in his 11th season with the club, recently signed a four-year deal that ties him to the bet365 Stadium until 2021. And the centre-half (right) says he hopes to finish his playing days there because he feels so at home.

The 29-year-old, who missed the 2-2 draw against Manchester United through injury, said: “This really does feel like my home now.

“I would love nothing more than to end my professional career here, but before then I would love to help this club to continue to make progress.”
