NEWCASTLE midfielder Matt Ritchie admitted he was ‘‘lucky’’ to escape a red card for a “Sadio Mane”-style challenge on Swansea’s Alfie Mawson.

Ritchie made contact with Mawson’s head but, unlike Liverpool star Mane after his clash with Man City goalkeeper Ederson, was shown only a yellow card.

He said: “I was delighted to see only a yellow card. I was lucky.’’
