Man o’war on British beach

A DEADLY Portuguese man o’war has washed up on a British beach.

The animals, which look like jellyfish, have long venomous tentacles with a potentially fatal sting.

A group called Newquay Beachcombing, which made the discovery in Cornwall, said: “It’s a great privilege to see these rare and beautiful creatures.”

Experts warned people not to touch a man o’war.

There has also been a reported sighting in Newgale, Pembrokeshire.
