WATTS CLEAR FOR CRUNCH

-

LIAM WATTS will face no further action over his controversial red card against Wigan.

The Hull prop (right) was dismissed early in a match his side lost 30-22 for leading with an elbow while carrying the ball.

The RFL match review panel decided Watts made contact “between the head and front arm” of Wigan hooker Michael McIlorum. But they ruled his sending off was sufficient, clearing him for Thursday’s key clash with Wakefield. Hull centre Josh Griffin is also free to play after escaping a charge for an alleged cannonball tackle in the same game. But Wakefield forward Dean Hadley was handed a grade B dangerous contact charge from the defeat by St Helens.
