CATRAKILIS’ TWO-MONTH KO

-

HARLEQUINS have been told they must cope without star fly-half Demetri Catrakilis for up to two months.

The South African (right) fractured a bone in his throat 13 minutes into his first start for Quins against Gloucester at the weekend.

He was briefly unable to breathe before medics got to him with oxygen and remains in hospital under observation, but will not need surgery.

Quins will not panic over the “six-to-eightweek” loss of their big-money replacement for the retired Nick Evans. The reason for that is Marcus Smith, 18 – set to start against Wasps and hailed as “special, incredibly talented,” by Danny Care.
