Ex-model is now Trump’s comms chief
DONALD Trump has appointed a 28-year-old former Ralph Lauren fashion model to be his new communications director.
Hope Hicks has been standing in since Anthony Scaramucci was fired just 10 days into the job in July, but will now take the role on a permanent basis.
Hicks has no background in politics, but has been connected to the Trump family for five years.
She started her career in PR and had Ivanka Trump’s fashion company as a client before being picked by Trump to work for his real estate firm in 2014.
She is one of the US President’s closest allies, and one of his highest paid – reportedly being on a salary of £140,000.
Last year he told GQ Hicks was “outstanding”.
