Tom helps to give a boost to teenagers
ACTOR Tom Hardy is backing a campaign to improve teenagers’ confidence as a poll found one in five are convinced they will “amount to nothing”.
The Prince’s Trust study also found that a quarter of teenagers think no one believes in them.
The charity’s “Youth Can Do It!” campaign, also backed by magician Dynamo, aims to tackle teens’ low self-confidence.
Hardy, 39, said: “It never ceases to amaze me the amount of heart, tenacity, strength and potential of our young people to make a difference in the world.”
Dynamo, 34, revealed the charity had helped him with “advice, inspiration and a small cash grant” .
He said many other “talented” youngsters just needed “a helping hand”.
