Simon says it is time for change

We hear changes are afoot at The X Factor. Insiders say long-term executive producer Richard Holloway is in line for a new role, with Amelia Brown set to take over the running of the ITV show.

It seems Simon Cowell is very keen to bring about changes after the launch show got just 6.2 million viewers this month – the lowest for a debut since 2005. Ouch.

Brown, currently executive producer on Britain’s Got Talent, is seen as an “innovator”.

One insider whispered: “X Factor needs to be constantly reinventing itself in order to keep the young audience interested. Simon wants fresh new ideas so he’s decided to make a few changes.”
