THIS selfie-taking monkey has every reason to grin – he is to benefit from 25% of profits from the amusing photo.
Crested macaque Naruto took the snap in Indonesia in 2011 on nature photographer David Slater’s camera.
Animal rights group Peta lost a case where they asked for Naruto to have copyright and took the fight to appeal judges in San Francisco.
But David, of Chepstow, South Wales, agreed to share earnings, said to be thousands of pounds, with charities that will protect Naruto. He was “relieved” the case was over.
So everyone’s smiling.
