Neil flyers clip Bluebirds’ wings

ALAN BROWNE’S 40-yard stunner capped a brilliant Preston win as pre-match Championship leaders Cardiff were brought crashing to earth with a bump.

Former Manchester United trainee Josh Harrop (left) gave North End a half-time lead with his first goal for the club.

The 21-year-old netted a 25-yard free-kick to start the misery for Cardiff.

Sean Maguire scored at the near post on 70 minutes to double the lead for Alex Neil’s men.

And, with 12 minutes to play, Browne spotted the Bluebirds’ goalkeeper Neil Etheridge off his line and lobbed him from just outside the centre circle.
