Ibiza stag do guests help fraud probe
THE 30 stag party guests allegedly fleeced of £11,000 by bride-to-be Rachel Doran are being quizzed by police “one by one”.
Chris Mahone, 27, and his pals paid hundreds of pounds each for the trip to Ibiza. But they arrived at Leeds airport on Thursday to find their flights and hotel had not been booked.
A friend says Chris has turned down £5,000, plus tickets to take his party abroad, to appear on TV as he is too “ashamed”.
Rachel, 29, who shared a home with Chris in Cleator Moor, Cumbria, was arrested on Monday and released “under investigation” for the alleged fraud.
A relative of one stag guest said: “Police are going through everything with them, one by one.”
