LEGO MASTERS

C4, 8pm This is an odd talent show, trying to transform what is essentially a Lego geek-fest into X Factor-style drama, with booming music and a dramatic voiceover.

But if you ignore all that and just take it for what it is – watching people make amazing creations out of Lego – it’s quite entertaining. This is the final, with three duos battling to win the Lego Masters trophy, as well as nabbing an exhibition spot at a museum in Denmark.

“Amateur hour is over, baby, there is no time for dabbling,” says guest judge Dara Ó Briain, who appears alongside Lego design vice president Matthew Ashton and host Melvin Odoom.

The best bit is their first task which is hilarious as the teams face their toughest critics yet – kids. They have three hours to bring the children’s inventive tales to life in brick form. The stories feature a robot with an ostrich head, a baby alien from the planet Zorg and a monster who slides down a rainbow.
