NEXT LEVEL FOR AUDI A8

It’s all about autonomy on Audi’s stand at Frankfurt. The star is the new A8 which incorporates automated driving at Level 3.

If I haven’t explained this before, Level 3 is full automated driving with the driver occasionally taking over the controls when required – Level 4 is full autonomy but on dedicated roads only (such as motorways) and Level 5 is the same but with the ability to drive anywhere including towns.

The new A8 has this Level 3 system fitted as standard. The big question is whether it will be reliable. I can’t wait to drive one and find out.
