Group’s 24hr trip on every London bus

- BY LOUIE SMITH

A GROUP of five “extreme commuters” have become the first people to travel on all 593 London bus routes in less than 24 hours.

They rode at least one stop on every Transport for London service in a record 23 hours and 26 minutes.

Adham Fisher, Hugo Marrow, Martin Hazel, David Edwards and Josh Nichols-Ageros each paid an estimated £4.50 in fares.

Their first bus was the No1 from Waterloo station at midnight. Adham caught the final bus on September 7, the 298 from Southgate, North London.

He holds the world record for visiting every stop on Berlin’s metro.

The 32-year-old, of Leicester, said: “The only landmark I recall is Stratford shopping centre, which I ran through six times.”
