The pilot of the Boeing 777 Speedbird was forced to make an emergency U-turn back to Heathrow airport in West PRAYING Geoff Lye London with only one engine running. Geoff Lye, 67, on the flight to Athens last Wednesday with his partner, said: “There was a huge noise and a judder, then six bangs. I am an atheist but even I was praying. We landed perfectly safely, accompanied by a fire engine. We were just delighted to be alive.” BA is investigating.
