A sad passing

MENTOR Tom with lead singer Harry Earlier this year I wrote about a post-punk band called Delta 7, whose talented members all have learning disabilities.

It was with great sadness that I learned this week that their mentor and band leader Tom Salway has died at the age of 24.

A talented guitarist and pianist, Tom loved being a “gig buddy” to Delta 7 and his death has come as a great shock. His friends and family say he was warm, talented, funny and generous to a fault. “A beautiful soul, who spread light and happiness to all around him and the world is now a darker place without him.”
