DRAMA

-

ITV, 9pm Friday nights are so much better for the return of this comedy drama – telling of the lives of characters we’ve known for years. It’s comforting, like a warm hug.

And of course we’re completely loyal to Adam (James Nesbitt), who seems to be spending a lot of time being told off by Tina (Leanne Best) for moving too fast.

Finally a man who wants to commit, who wants to talk about having babies, but she’s not happy about it.

Meanwhile, Adam’s work colleague freaks out when she hears his girlfriend is called Tina. She seems to have figured out why he looked familiar – and it’s all rather awkward.

Elsewhere, Jen (Fay Ripley) is on a massive power trip after her promotion at work, but Pete isn’t finding it all that endearing.

And watch out for the welcome arrival of Paul Ritter as Justin’s representative, concerned by Karen’s accounts.

She’ll need to get that diva Bridie on board to write her next novel, sharpish. Chance would be a fine thing.

Another funny, heartwarming episode that ticks all the boxes.
