PROPHETS OF RAGE

Taking their name from a track by co frontman Chuck D’s other band Public Enemy, the Prophets are a genuine supergroup. Or, in the words of guitarist Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) “an elite task force of revolutionary musicians”. That might be a claim too far but the force of their angry and ruthlessly targeted rap metal is hard to deny. Chuck D is one of the great American voices of his generation and Cypress Hill’s B-Real proves a memorable foil. An amped-up wrecking ball of destruction.
