Freak pole blow KOs Foxes’ Fuchs
CHRISTIAN FUCHS is a doubt for Leicester tomorrow after suffering a horrific freak injury in training.
The Austria defender was struck in the eye socket on Tuesday when a ball hit a pole, which ricocheted into his face.
Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare said: “Thankfully, it didn’t come out of the ground, but the top end of the pole flicked back and caught him in the eye.
“We had the medical staff on there straight away. He can see out of it now, but it swelled up and didn’t look great.”
If Fuchs is not passed fit, Ben Chilwell will deputise at Huddersfield tomorrow.
