NOT SUMMIT SO SPECIAL SAYS SILVA

- BY MIKE WALTERS

Big 5 European Leagues 2017 (all comps) Quickest to reach 80 Premier League goals MARCO SILVA could lead Watford to the top-flight’s summit for only the second time in their history tomorrow, but shrugged it off as nothing special.

The Hornets will be leaders if they beat Manchester City at Vicarage Road because Chelsea and Manchester United, the other teams above them, do not play until Sunday.

Only once in their 136-year existence have Watford been at No.1, following a 3-0 win against West Brom on September 11, 1982.

But head coach Silva (above) said: “It’s important everyone, starting with me, keeps their feet on the floor. What we’ve achieved until now is only eight points, nothing special.

“I don’t mind the big expectation – that’s always good. But we treat each match the same, we prepare to win.”
